A guided bus tour through Southern Iceland.
About this tour
You will start the journey at your preferred pickup location in Reykjavik (see pickup list in booking process). On the way to the south shore, you can enjoy the beautiful view from the bus. Reaching the south shore the tour makes several stops, each equally stunning and unique. Not only will you get to see two magnificent waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, you will also be able to walk behind the former. The mystical black beach Reynisfjara will give you the chance to take in the incredible force of the Atlantic
The mystical black beach Reynisfjara will give you the chance to take in the incredible force of the Atlantic Ocean (and please be careful, the waves are powerful and the current is very strong). Out in the ocean, not far from the beach, you can see the tall basalt columns Reynisdrangar. Legend has is they are some mighty trolls that turned into stones, but you can judge for yourself. You will take a short walk up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and visit the quiet village of Vík to conclude.
The tour offers free pick up from Reykjavík.
What to wear
Be sure to bring outerwear according to the weather, since you will be spending some time outside, and the weather in Iceland tends to be anything but predictable windproof jackets and pants are recommended in addition to something warm, especially in winter. Layers are a good idea, so that you will not get too warm while you are inside the bus.
Lunch and snacks
This is a ten-hour tour so you will probably get hungry at some point during the day. Lunch or snacks are not provided, but there will be a lunch stop where you can buy lunch and frequent stops for restrooms and snacks.
- Cancellation received more than 24 hours prior to departure: Full refund
- Cancellation received less than 24 hours prior to departure: No refund.
All cancellations should be notified at least 24 hours prior to pick up time, or you will be fully charged.
