About this tour
You will be picked up at your hotel, hostel or guesthouse in an awesome super truck that will take you out of the city. You will start at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is full of history and unique landscapes. From Þingvellir National Park you will head to the Geysir geothermal area where you can marvel at the ever-active Strokkur geyser that shows its might every 5-8 minutes. The last stop before you head to the highlands for the snowmobile adventure is Gullfoss waterfall which might just possibly the most photographed waterfall in Iceland. And for good reason: it’s beautiful.
After a great morning of sightseeing the tour will take you through rough terrains to Langjökull glacier, where you will gear up for the snowmobile ride. After a short safety briefing and introduction you are ready for your snowmobile adventure.
After the snowmobile tour you will return back to Reykjavík.
If you don’t want to share your snowmobile with anyone else and you want to have all the fun of driving it you can pay an extra fee for a single ride (by choosing participants – solo on a snowmobile).
Please note that If you are traveling solo you must book as a single rider. The same goes if you are a group of an odd number (3,5,7 etc), one person must book as a single rider.
Free pickup is offered from all major hotels, hostels and guesthouses in downtown Reykjavík
If you are staying in an AirBnB apartment or a hotel that is not included in the pickup list, it’s best if you find the next approved hotel and book your pickup from there.
If you are not sure what is the nearest pickup place, just be in touch and we’ll help you choose.

“One amazing day”
Just back from Golden Circle tour with snow mobiling - absolutely brilliant day. Our guide was Clemy and he could not be faulted. Our transport was a huge Mercedes super jeep which held 16 comfortably. We took in the geysers and Gulfoss waterfall before heading out to the Langjokull glacier and the snow mobile base camp. After being kitted out in thermal suits we had a briefing and then set off in single file. It snowed quite heavily and visibility was poor so important to keep nearest riders in sight. Guides were excellent and dealt with any problems quickly.
If you're up for an adventure while still feeling safe this could be for you.
“Highlight of our trip: golden circle and snowmobile tour”
a full day, but one very well spent. We did a small group tour with Arnar as our guide, he was with us the whole day basically and he was great. on the golden circle, Arnar was very knowledgeable about the sites and kept us informed as to what the attractions were, the history, and the local stories about the places we went to. Then for the main event: the snowmobiling, really hard to describe with words, just awesome really. We jumped off and went into an ice cave, and got to hydroplane the snowmobile over some water. But really again, hard to describe the vastness and awe inspiring scenery when you're deep into the glacier. A quick bonus, on our way out Arnar saved the day by rescuing another company's truck which was stuck in the snow and pulling them out with the monster truck we were on! I would also point out that we saw other companies driving up to the glacier but it was 20+ people, I gotta say that our small group tour was really way better, It's a more one on one experience so we were really happy with our choice. Want to thank Arnar again for his attention all day. He's great.
“A great guide and a great day out”
We took the full Golden Circle tour with Snowmobiling. We were picked up at 830 by our guide in his super jeep, which was waiting outside the door of our apartment right on schedule! We then did a few more pickups through Reykjavik before going out onto the tour trail. Our guide was very helpful and insightful and filled us in on lots of interesting facts along the way as we visited the national park, where you stand on the North American plate, looking across to the European plate, we then went on to the Geysir from here which was great fun (if a little slippy!) before travelling to the waterfall followed by lunch. From there we travelled into the mountains for a couple of hours of snowmobiling. This was brilliant fun, and was helped by some great weather and more interesting facts from our guide! After the snowmobiling we headed back to the waterfall for coffee and to warm up before being dropped back to our apartment after a satisfying day of sights, adventure and local insight. I would definitely recommend this to friends to try!
