About this tour
Since this is a 2 day tour you will get to see many amazing natural wonders on this tour that will bring you as far as the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in Southeast Iceland.
On day one you will be picked up at your accommodation from where you will head out of town and toward your adventure. The first stop is Seljalandsfoss waterfall, located below the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano (you know, the one that caused all the havoc back in 2010). The great thing about this waterfall, apart from its evident beauty is the fact you can walk behind it which offers some Instagram-worthy photos.
Next on the agenda is Skógafoss waterfall, another south coast highlight, and from there you will head onward to Reynisfjara black sand beach. As you head further east you will pass the charming villages Vík and Kirkjubæjarklaustur before you arrive at your home away from home for the night.
If the conditions are right, you might get a chance to see some northern lights from the hotel.
Day two starts with breakfast at the hotel before you head to the amazing Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. It’s nothing short of spectacular and if you’re lucky you might see a seal or two lazing around. From the glacier lagoon, it’s time to put on some crampons and explore the beautiful blue crystal caves in Vatnajökull glacier. All safety equipment will be provided and you will explore these wonders of nature with a certified glacier guide.
After the ice cave adventure, you will depart for Reykjavík and stop at the beautiful Skaftafell National Park on the way. As for the rest of the drive back there might be a stop for the northern lights if they decide to cooperate. You will return to your accommodation in town between 21:00 and 23:00, depending on the conditions.

Can you guarantee the Northern Lights?
No, if we could, we would probably be the most popular people in Iceland! The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and nothing can be done to make sure they show up. The northern lights are not the point of this tour, they’re just an added bonus you might be lucky enough to see.
Will I get the whole tour refunded if the ice cave tour is canceled?
The ice cave tour is just one component of this tour and unfortunately, its availability is dictated by the conditions and the weather which are out of our control. Even if the ice cave tour is canceled, you will see and do a lot on this tour that makes it worth taking. But of course, if the ice cave tour is canceled, other arrangments will be made (like glacier walk) or you’ll get the ice cave part refunded.
Can you tell me which hotel we’ll be staying at?
The accommodation on this tour depends on availability and therefore we cannot tell you which hotel you’ll be staying at. All accommodation used will be of a similar standard, think basic but clean and nice country hotel.
