This Golden Circle tour, including the trifecta of the Icelandic tourist trail, is probably the most popular day tour in Iceland. See Þingvellir National Park, the geothermal area at Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall without the easy and affordable way.
We don’t need to tell you what the Golden Circle is about, it’s probably the reason you came to Iceland in the first place: Waterfalls, geysers and national parks of exceptional beauty. What you do need to know about this tour is that it’s available in many different languages, it’s available daily and departure is guaranteed.
This is a more conventional big bus tour, if you are looking for a smaller tour with fewer people you might want to check out the Golden Circle and Traditional Tastes tour or the Hot Golden Circle Tour. If you are just looking for something easy and affordable, and you don’t care who else you share it with, then you are in the right place.

About this tour
The tour starts with a pick up from your hotel or guesthouse in Reykjavík from where you will head towards Þingvellir national park. There you get some time to take in the sights before you carry on to the next destination. At Geysir geothermal area you can see the amazing Strokkur geyser go off every 5-7 minutes and enjoy a free admission to the Geysir multimedia show. From Geysir you will go towards Gullfoss waterfall where you get enough time to take in it’s beauty. On the way back you will visit the lovely Friðheimar green house where you will learn about can learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of the geothermal heat that Iceland has in abundance.
This tour is available in the following languages:
English: Every day all year.
German: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays all year.
French: Thursdays and Sundays all year
Spanish: Saturdays from June 1st to August 31st
Scandinavian: Mondays from June 1st to August 31st and Fridays all year.
Free pickup is offered from approved hotels, hostels and guesthouses in downtown Reykjavík
If you are staying in an AirBnB apartment or a hotel that is not included in the pickup list, it’s best if you find the next approved hotel and book your pickup from there.

Reservations can be cancelled 24 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to departure will be charged full price.

Pick up and drop off service
- Pick up for day tours is operated by several smaller coaches throughout the city centre up to 30 minutes before departure. Please be ready in time for your pick up in front of your hotel or guesthouse.
Main departure point for this tour is from the BSÍ Bus Terminal.
- Drop off starts after indicated arrival time. Please note that drop off locations may not be directly in front of your hotel/guesthouse dictated by actual conditions (e.g. narrow streets, coach size, roadworks, etc.).
Please note that indicated return times refer to guided tours only, drop offs and pick ups are not included. Additionally, during winter return times can vary due to weather conditions.
